…or maybe you’re not feeling particularly ‘thrivey’.

These past few weeks have been more stressful than usual, haven’t they? Stress, in small doses, can be useful—keeping us alert and prompting us to address its root causes. But chronic (relentless) stress? That’s a different beast. The 21st century’s chronic dis-ease, and like many, I certainly feel it.

I’ve got three aging dogs, and one doesn’t have much time left. Another, thankfully, has bounced back from a rough patch of gastro. As for me, I’ve been on full alert, caring for my old girl who needs constant attention. All this while nursing a fractured foot, keeping me from dancing—my go-to stress reliever.

It’s impacted my focus and work, yet I’m grateful I can support and love her through this time. You know that feeling when someone asks, “How are you?” and you feel like you’ll burst into tears? Yep, that’s been me.

Even with all my tools to manage anxiety and calm my mind, I needed extra support—someone to talk to and someone to run my Bars! I’m lucky to have beautiful humans in my life who are always there to chat and/or offer in-person support.

This Sunday, I wasn’t planning to go anywhere—I was wiped out from caregiving and anxiety. Fortunately, my friends created a welcoming space for me and my pups—a first for us. They prepared everything, and I arrived to open arms, received a nurturing and calming Access Bars session, and ran a friend’s Bars in return. A nurturing Sunday for sure!

I released so much—fear, sadness, worry—that had me feeling heavy.

So, here’s my invitation to you: take a moment to reflect and seek support. Where in your life are you feeling heaviness, stress, or anxiety? Ignoring these feelings will only magnify them over time, manifesting as dis-ease.
