I know who I am. I love who I am. I’m grateful for the woman I am unbecoming and excited for the woman I am stepping into.

It’s taken a while to get here, but I finally feel free and like me again – as though I’ve hit the reset button on my life. I’m breathing easy, and fully, again.

This transformation required conscious awareness, intentional and repeated unpatterning, gentleness with myself, time, and a willingness to sit in discomfort even when I felt like I couldn’t bear the pain anymore. The residue of the broken version of me from 18 months ago no longer exists, and it’s a liberating feeling.

Do I still experience moments of insecurity? Absolutely. However, I’ve trained my awareness to catch myself before or as those limiting feelings arise. I can coach myself or ask my peers for clarity. Consciously unraveling the pattern of ‘proving my worth by doing and prioritizing the happiness and comfort of others over my own’ is a daily practice. This practice allows me to choose something different – more ease, lightness, happiness, and joy than ever before.

I’m committed to expanding my life, not as the wife who lost herself in the smoke of a false reality needing to ‘prove’ her worth, but as someone who loves herself deeply, knowing her worth to the core.

Here are 10 of the steps I apply daily.

NOTE: These aren’t ‘once and done’ steps – just like brushing your teeth, showing nor eating are 😉

IMPORTANT: Explore each step in-depth for clarity and sustainable transformation

  1. Start with awareness: Ask yourself questions about areas where you feel least like yourself. What if something greater is possible?
    • Where am I? Who am I?
    • Where do I want to be? Who is the highest possible version of me?
  2. Be honest with yourself: It may be uncomfortable and scary, but it’s the only way to change what isn’t working.
  3. Practice gratitude: Appreciate what you have and who you are.
  4. Realign your Values: Identify what is (truly) true for you beyond societal, upbringing, religious, peer, and unresolved trauma will have you believe.
  5. Redefine your Vision: Get so clear about your vision that the path becomes visible.
  6. Align your goals: Clarify your desired outcomes.
  7. Cultivate courage: Consistent courage is essential for making different choices. Is staying where you are for the next 5, 10, 15, or 20 years worth your happiness, joy, and fulfillment?
  8. Take inspired action: Start with small changes. Small actions, done repeatedly, create more impact than one big action done once.
  9. Get a coach: A coach can guide you, offer perspective, illuminate limitations, help navigate and release limiting beliefs, expand your awareness, and support you during tough times.
  10. Invite support: Communicate your journey to those you care about. They’ll resist change if you don’t involve them.

The only way through is through. When you’re going through hell, keep going.
