Insights from Mrs South Africa and more

What a whirlwind of a week so far! I had the privilege of being the keynote speaker at the Mrs South Africa breakfast event on Sunday to 250 women (I’ll share the photos in my blog)

I was so encouraged that the theme for the event and my talk titled, ‘Purpose for Impact’ were so beautifully aligned.

I’m still receiving messages from guests and finalists, four days later, sharing how they’ve been inspired to step up with confidence, to live in their purpose, and to own their worth so I wanted to encourage you today to do the same.

So, how are you? How is your week going? If it feels like ‘the wheels are coming off’ and, as much as you intended to ‘do better, be better, figure it out’, you just haven’t.

If you feel like you’re failing or falling behind, you’re not alone.

We put so much pressure on ourselves! You may be thinking that you’ve got no choice or other option – that your peace, happiness, or even livelihood depends on your ability to ‘get it together’ and that failing isn’t an option.

Although repercussions may be tangible, ‘failure’ is a mindset and, depending on your mindset right now, you may or may not buy into the below sayings, by two wise women.

Wherever your mindset is, I’m cheering you on. That’s my ‘job’ as a coach. Be it in your personal or your business development, I hold space for you through the good times and the bad.

I’m here to listen when you just need to get it all out and help you pick up the pieces of your broken spirit. I’m here to help you to reframe your perspective, renew your mindset and beliefs, and give you tools to navigate your emotions and ultimately create your most enlightening and empowering vision for your future.

It’s my ‘job’ to reflect back your potential to you and to help you show up fully for yourself, internally and externally.

I’d like to share two insights that we covered in our ‘Living On Purpose’ Book Club session on Monday, taken from Chapter two of my book, ‘Living On Purpose’.

Catch the replay by joining our book club here.

1. CHANGE YOUR IMAGE, CHANCE YOUR LIFE.

How you see yourself (beliefs, mindset, self-worth) defines how you show up and the quality of your life.

When your reflection in the mirror is a bit tarnished or the mirror is warped or cracked, you won’t see your true potential.

Those tarnished areas will knock your confidence and keep you playing small. If you’re stuck in a rut in your life – manifesting externally – let’s inject some energy and vitality into your life with an image makeover, inside and out.

Let’s change the way you show up for yourself so that others can do the same for you.

2. FIX IT OR MOVE

Dr. Gordon Cohen’s insights are poignant:

“Live your life to the fullest because you only get one chance this time around. If you aren’t in a happy place, fix it or get out—but don’t suffer a bad circumstance—no human deserves that.”

Easier said than done, I get it. I left a toxic long-term relationship, with nothing. I left toxic jobs – twice – with nothing.

Yes, there was a pattern and lessons I had to learn but my reality, at the time, was that if I left, I was leaving with nothing and with nowhere to go. My loyalty had no limits but that’s another story for another day, or you can read more about it in my book)

INSIGHT FOR THE DAY

Please don’t stay in a place that minimizes you, your voice, your opinions, your worth. It’s going to take courage.

It may be painful but nothing is as painful as staying stuck in a place that disempowers you.

If you’ve had enough, you’re tired of compromising yourself, something needs to change but you don’t know how or are ready to reinvent yourself – inside and out – book a free 15min discovery call here, and let’s chat about the next steps.

Need clarity, courage, confidence, and direction in your personal or professional life or business?

I’d love to help you get from where you are, to where you want to be. Sometimes it means starting with getting clearer on what you (actually) want.
