Unearthing Your Brilliance, Like The Geode That You Are

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn-out and screaming, ‘WOO HOO, what a ride!” — Author Unknown.

I identify as a crow. Show me a pretty crystal (or an animal) and my entire being will redirect itself and head off in that direction.

Surround yourself with things you love. Done! Now although my girls (dogs) aren’t things, they’re the center of my world. When it comes to crystals, my home is sprinkled with them, and there’s always one adorning my neck, wrist, or fingers.

I have never met a crystal that I did not like, and neither did my grandad. Some random and absolutely useless information for you: My name means ‘rock’ in Greek, and I feel the most grounded when sitting on rocks with my hands and feet firmly grounded on it. Coincidence?

Grandad used to unearth magnificent geodes. Sadly, I don’t have a single one. You see, grandad was gifted with the ability to walk over an aquifer and predict that enough water existed in that location to create a borehole. He was a Water Diviner and, for decades, together with his pronged stick, he would find (borehole) water for farmers.

Grandad also practiced Reiki. I’m not sure if he even knew the term, but he did know that he had the capacity to play with energy and connect with the earth in a way that many didn’t. He is no longer walking this earth, and it’s taken me years to step into his openness to possibilities and it’s changed the way I show up as a life and business coach and inspirational keynote speaker. Now that I’ve embraced it—fully embraced it—it’s opened up so much for me.

So much so that I’m voluntarily walking into my fourth…or fifth Access Consciousness Foundation class. Every class cracks me open more and more, just like those geodes that grandad unearthed. Its magic and brilliance can only be revealed when it’s cracked open, more and more.

And that’s what I’m nexcited* to open up to this weekend. *Nervous and excited.

Nervous because I know that I will have to look at, explore, and feel into whatever comes up for me—conscious but mainly unconscious thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that limit me and my life creation.

Every life coach has a coach! Or should have one. As coaches, or in this case ‘Facilitators’, we have the ability to ‘read between the lines’, intuitively ‘see’ what you don’t, and ask questions that will liberate and expand your perspective to go beyond your logical mind.

As humans, we try to figure things out in our minds—the very minds that create limitations—instead of going beyond our logical minds and into possibilities.

How did I move through the trauma of a betrayal so ‘quickly and easily’? Definitely not through trying to figure it out in my mind, and it certainly was not easy. I can, however, recognize that, in terms of duration, I’ve been able to transition quicker than many. I believe it’s because I was intentional about cracking myself open so I could ‘do the work’ required to keep unearthing more and more of me—digging up and, with sometimes curiosity and other times gut-wrenching discomfort, looking at programming that has created my life.

The more I crack open the proverbial geode of my life, the more of its—and my—brilliance I get to uncover.

You may not want to ‘crack yourself open’, so you opt to avoid looking in the mirror, reflecting, or getting guidance and support from a life alignment coach (i.e., me). Instead, you continue with the dull ache and discomfort of never feeling completely free, aligned, grounded in your truth with clarity, power, and joy.

But the world is missing out on your brilliance. Your life is missing out. YOU are missing out. You were never meant to be a watered-down version of yourself. You were meant to shine and share your brilliance with the world because that is how we create a world that uplifts us all—a world where we all thrive!

Unearthing you is going to require a decision. You’ve got to decide upfront that you will choose bravery and courage as your norm and not accept the status quo as your future possibility.

Referencing the discovery and connection to living on purpose—the title of my book that I’m referencing here—Pepe Marais, COO of Joe Public Advertising, shared that, “It’s one hell of a journey, tough as nails, and a road far less traveled but so epically rewarding.”

If you’re willing to explore the possibilities with me, reach out and let’s hop on a complimentary Discovery call.

An excerpt from my book, ‘Living On Purpose. The Key To Change Your Life And Impact Others’, I share that, “Healing begins, business grows, (client) relationships are nurtured, and personal relationships are affected. Growth ensues and your vision is broadened to impact and uplift communities.”

Here’s another motivating insight from Pepe, “Having a crystal-clear idea of why I exist is today at the core of everything I do. Purpose increased my self-discipline and way of being. Ultimately, we inspire people the most through our actual actions far more than just our talk.”

It’s worth it. YOU are worth the effort and decision to create the life you desire.

It’s time to unearth your brilliance. As a motivational speaker and life coach, I’m here to help crack you open with gentleness, empathy, honesty and accountability 😉
